Linda Tai began her journey in music at the age of six, embarking on piano and vocal lessons that ignited a lifelong passion. She pursued this passion through a degree in vocal performance at Shih Chien University in Taipei, Taiwan, where she studied under the renowned Professor Yen-Lin Chen. After graduating, she was selected by the International Cooperation and Development Fund to serve as a music volunteer in El Salvador, dedicating herself to the global promotion of music education and cultural exchange.

In El Salvador, Ms. Tai made significant contributions to the local music scene. She founded and directed the first choir at Universidad Don Bosco in San Salvador, toured Central America as a singer with private choirs, and served as the pianist for the El Salvador National Choir. These roles allowed her to collaborate with both local and international artists, enriching the region’s musical landscape. In 2020, she joined the inaugural Music Bachelor Program at Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado as a piano instructor, where she inspired students to realize their potential.

Ms. Tai continued her studies in 2022, earning a scholarship and teaching assistantship to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music under Professor Timothy Hester. During her time in Houston, she excelled in collaborative music projects, receiving the “Let Creativity Happen!” grant from the Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Her piano trio, focusing on works by women composers, brought music to schools across the Houston area, fostering a love for music among younger generations.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, Ms. Tai is dedicated to nurturing her students’ growth in an environment that balances discipline with creativity and passion. She believes that every student has the potential to succeed and strives to provide the tools and encouragement needed for them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of a supportive and joyful atmosphere, empowering students to approach music with confidence and enthusiasm.

As a performer and educator, Ms. Tai inspires others to embrace music as a source of joy, transformation, and personal growth, leaving a lasting impact on all those she teaches and collaborates with.
